My very first "high-end" knife so consider my opinion accordingly!
This is a beautiful knife with very fun edge geometry! The center of gravity justifies pinch gripping.
Factory edge is OK, edge retention is OK, I first had to sharpen it after 3 weeks. However, it was very easy to sharpen and the new edge is unbelievable!
Also, there is a flaw in the wood of the handle, which was at first annoying, but as I got accustomed to it now I find it even better (a bit more rustic)!
I also purchased a Tojiro DP Santoku, but I decided to sell the Tojiro because they do not even look to be in the same league.
